Terra Masumoto

Terra Masumoto is a Columbus-based dancer whose movement journey grew from a lifelong love of music and the arts. Raised in a musical family, Terra grew up playing piano and cello before eventually pursuing a career in STEM.  She began her dance journey in 2019, developing her practice in ballet and contemporary, including studying with Leah Anthony, a fellow member of the Cultivate Dance Project.

Terra has continued her ballet and contemporary training with Artisan Ballet and the BalletMet Adult Program, while expanding her movement practice into pole and circus arts. She has performed in Artisan Ballet’s The Nutcracker twice, as well as in studio recitals featuring ballet and contemporary. In 2026, Terra performed as a guest dancer with Royal Rouge Circus, further exploring her interest in dance, movement, and performance.

Outside of dance, Terra holds a B.S. in Biological Engineering from The Ohio State University and is currently pursuing a Master of Engineering in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Cincinnati. Terra is excited for her first season with Cultivate Dance Project as she continues to explore her love of dance, performance, and creative movement.
