Auditions
Cultivate Dance Project holds annual auditions for versatile and motivated movement artists, well-versed in contemporary and modern techniques. The company's primary goal is to offer an encouraging environment and a platform for artists in the community to explore their passion for movement through weekly classes and project-based performance opportunities. We strive to allow movement artists the opportunity to train, create, and perform, while still pursuing careers inside and outside the studio. Rehearsals are unpaid at this time, but any performance profit earned by the company will be paid to the performance participating artists. Season typically runs September - early June, with additional performance opportunities available through summer. Weekly class and rehearsal attendance is no longer mandatory for Company Dancers, but is strongly encouraged for participation in performance opportunities.

Audition will consist of a contemporary/modern class followed by learning company repertoire. Please wear clothing you can move in.

Dancers of all genders, race, and ethnic backgrounds are encouraged to audition. We believe in elevating the voices of all artists

Dancers must be at least 18 years of age at the time of audition

Availability on most Sundays from 10:00AM -1:00PM (September 13, 2026 through June 6, 2027). Dancers need to be able to effectively communicate their schedule needs and upcoming absences with the the company directors and choreographers. Ability to learn choreography through video/virtually when missing rehearsals is also encouraged.
