Auditions

Cultivate Dance Project holds annual auditions for versatile and motivated movement artists, well-versed in contemporary and modern techniques. The company's primary goal is to offer an encouraging environment and a platform for artists in the community to explore their passion for movement through weekly classes and project-based performance opportunities. We strive to allow Company Dancers and Guest Artists the opportunity to train, create, and perform, while still pursuing careers inside and outside the studio. Rehearsals are unpaid at this time, but any performance profit earned by the company will be paid to the performance participating artists. Season typically runs September - early June, with additional performance opportunities available through summer.

Company Dancers are required to consistently attend class and rehearsals Sundays from 10AM - 1PM

Guest Artists are welcome to attend classes and rehearsals, but this is not mandatory. Guest Artists are only asked to attend the specific rehearsal dates for pieces and performances they are cast in/available to participate.

In-Person Audition

In-person auditions feature a welcoming atmosphere where auditioning artists and current CDP artists participate in a contemporary/modern-based class and will learn CDP repertoire.

Video Audition Submission

Must be received by Monday, September 1, 2025 by 11PM.

Video auditions consist of learning a section of CDP repertoire via YouTube video link. Learn the combination at your convenience, record yourself performing the choreography and submit your video or video link to cultivatedanceproject@gmail.com

Requirements:

Please register prior to attending or submitting your video
Dancers of all genders, race, and ethnic backgrounds are encouraged to audition. We believe in elevating the voices of all artists
Dancers must be at least 18 years of age at the time of audition
Reliable availability on Sundays from 10AM - 1PM for Company Dancers (Guest Artists should be available some Sundays from 10AM - 1PM, specific dates can be scheduled according to the artists needs)
