Tawny Sit
Company Dancer
Tawny Sit is a dancer from Long Island, NY. They grew up training in rhythmic gymnastics and competed nationally up to USA Gymnastics Level 9. After retiring from gymnastics, they trained in Chinese folk dance at the Chinese Center on Long Island and performed as a member of the Center's dance company at various cultural events across Long Island and NYC. Tawny then moved to Pasadena, CA to pursue a degree in astrophysics at Caltech. There, they danced with student-run clubs and as a solo artist at the annual Caltech Dance Show, including performing two self-choreographed contemporary solos, a Chinese folk dance duet, and several ballet group pieces. Tawny started dancing again after moving to Columbus for graduate school and discovering a studio, Flux + Flow, a short walk away from their house.
