Company Auditions
Cultivate Dance Project hosts annual, open auditions for versatile and motivated dancers, well-versed in contemporary and modern technique. The company's primary goal is to offer space, an encouraging environment, and a platform to artists in the community to share their passion for movement. In-person auditions feature a welcoming atmosphere where auditioning dancers and current Company Dancers participate in a contemporary class and will learn company repertoire.
Company Dancers are required to maintain consistent weekly attendance at company classes and rehearsals. Guest Artists need only attend rehearsals for the works they are cast in - attendance at company class and additional rehearsals is optional. CDP aims to perform in at least three live performances per season as well as additional video/multimedia projects. Although Company Dancers and Guest Artists are encouraged to participate in as many performances as possible, many of our guest/festival appearances are optional. The season typically runs from September through June. Compensation for Company Dancers is based entirely on show revenue and may be available for some performance opportunities.

Dancers must register prior to their audition date (register here)

Dancers of all genders, race, ethnic backgrounds are encouraged to audition

Dancers must be at least 18 years of age at time of audition

Company Dancers should have consistent and reliable availability Sunday mornings from approximately 10AM-1PM

2024/2025 Season Auditions
When: Sunday, March 3rd, 2024 OR Sunday, August 11th, 2024
Time: 10:00AM - 1:00PM
Location: Columbus DanceArts Academy, 6175 Shamrock Court, Suite H, Dublin, OH 43016
What to bring: Dancers will need to provide a current resume or CV and a headshot. Electronic copies can either be uploaded to the Audition Registration Google Form, emailed in advance of the selected audition date to cultivatedanceproject@gmail.com OR paper copies can be brought to the audition.
What to wear: Any attire the dancer feels comfortable moving in!
Note: Dancers interested in auditioning outside of the regular scheduled audition date(s) are encouraged to contact the Artistic Director at cultivatedanceproject@gmail.com to set up an audition date/time. Auditions outside of the scheduled audition date are set up at the discretion of the Artistic Director - auditionees may be asked to attend a company class/rehearsal.
